Why HOTY?

The New York State Homebrewers of the Year competition is designed to enhance the hobby in NYS.  By taking points from a series of competitions we encourage more brewers to enter a larger variety of competitions which encourages all of us to brew more and improve our skills.

Congratulations to the 2007 NYS Homebrewer of the Year
Congratulations to Bruce Franconi

The results of the NYS Fair competition have been entered into the HOTY data and the results are in. Congratulations to Bruce Franconi of the Hudson Valley Homebrewers! Bruce took an early lead in the competition and held on finishing about 10 points ahead of Caleb Eagan. The NYSHOTY is a difficult competition because it takes results from regional competions all over the state. Different judges and different competitors are providing the feedback. Placing well in the HOTY demonstrates expertise and dedication in homebrewing. Raise a glass and toast our newest NYS Homebrewer of the Year and all the brewers that competed.

HOTY's New Look
The New York State Homebrewer of the Year has a new look.  The change adds new functionality to HOTY making it easier to add and change information to the site.  This will allow more people to keep the site up to date.  Watch in the near future for added competition links and pages that can be maintained by representatives of those clubs and competitions.  We are looking forward to this new season and the race to be HOTY.
